Regional consultation for the next programming period in Burgas

The Managing Authority of the Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Bulgaria – Turkey Programme started the development of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme between the two countries for the next programming period 2021 – 2027 with a regional consultation meeting organized on 23 October 2019 in Burgas.

More than 50 participants attending the event - representatives of stakeholders - local and regional authorities, educational institutions, branch organizations, non-governmental organizations from the target regions of the Republic of Bulgaria, were presented with the new requirements for the next programming period such as reducing the control, the concept of Extended application of flat rates and simplified costs, the N+ 2 rule, the possibility of introducing strategic projects and the Small Project Fund.

Attendees participated actively in discussions aimed at identifying the needs of the people in the cross-border region and the expectations for the new programming period.
