Project summary:

The main objective of the project is to promote the cross-border cultural, historical and natural heritage in Ivaylovgrad and Keshan/ Camlica (Republic of Turkey), as well as to support and present the sustainable development of the cultural tourism.
Attractive and unconventional methods of art will be used to achieve this, and various events and public initiatives will be held - discussion events, workshops, festivals and exhibitions. During the street art workshops will be painted and arranged facades, stops, street objects or other public places, thus creating a kind of "outdoor galleries" in Ivaylovgrad, Keshan and Camlica. Therefore the tourist resources of these areas will be recreated on canvas, told through the eyes of the artists. The works created, as well as photos of street art pieces, will be included in the exhibitions in the Gallery of Wheels, and thus will be further promoted in Bulgaria and Turkey. The project envisages the organization and opening of nine exhibitions in Bulgaria and Turkey.
„The Colors“ is an upgrade and continuation of „The path of the artist” project, CB005.1.23.103, implemented in 2017-2018 by the project partners.

Status of the project: completed

The colours came to life, intertwined, danced, sang and connected in pictures on the canvases and walls of the houses. The art has accompanied people's lives since ancient times because it has the ability to inspire, soothe and create delight for the senses. In the past and present, artists have created paintings and fresco inspired by people, events and places. The art creates a unique, colorful and lively atmosphere and provides an opportunity for different places, cities and villages to be seen and felt in a new, different way. From ancient times to the present day, the art inspires travelers, attracts attention of people and promotes places and objects, events and people.

The project "The Colours" presents in a non-traditional way the cultural, historical and natural heritage in the regions of Ivaylovgrad (Bulgaria), Keshan and Camlica (Turkey). The project aims to increase the popularity of these little-known areas and to promote tourist resources in them through the use of various art forms.

Famous artists from both countries interpreted in their paintings familiar places and strangers, popular attractions and unknown legends. Street art artists have erased gray and impersonal walls and public spaces, turning them into a colorful delight for people's senses and a kind of tourist attraction in the area.

Finally, the wonderful art works collected in the traveling exhibition "The Colours" in the Gallery on Wheels made one Balkan trip - from Keshan and Camlica through Enez, Edirne, Kirklareli, Burgas, Yambol and Haskovo to Ivaylovgrad to tell about the lovely nooks of these lesser known regions of Bulgaria and Turkey and to inspire new travelers because ... The colours - this is the whole world, the world around us and within us.
